This kit is designed exclusively for HMMWV (Humvee) 6.5L Turbo models originally equipped with the factory 400-amp generator. It is not compatible with HMMWV models originally equipped with other output options.

This complete conversion package replaces the factory 400-amp generator with a compact, 80-Amp Mechman 24V alternator using a purpose-built adapter bracket engineered specifically for military HMMWV (Humvee) applications.
Rather than simply replacing an expensive factory generator, this kit upgrades the vehicle's charging system while providing a more economical solution. The included DC-to-DC converter maintains the vehicle's 12V system and battery balancing, while the custom adapter bracket provides integrated mounting locations for both the converter and positive bus bar, resulting in a clean, professional installation.

Important Notes
- Tachometer Function: On HMMWV (Humvee) models originally equipped with a factory tachometer, the OEM 400A generator provides the tachometer signal. This conversion kit does not provide a tachometer output. Therefore, the factory tachometer will not function after the conversion.
- Vehicle Wiring: Vehicle wiring is not included due to variations in HMMWV (Humvee) configurations. The required wiring will vary by application and is the responsibility of the installer.
