Why would you need this booster harness?
- You're an off-road enthusiast with a winch, on board welder or overlander that is needing to maximize power output for those accessories. A good AGM type battery or even some specific chemistry Lithium type batteries need to be charged in the 14.6-14.8 voltage range. Your standard Toyota/Lexus 4pin voltage regulator (the ones we also use) generally are a much lower voltage output of around 13.8-14.2 volts. Being able to charge modern AGM batteries to their optimal charge point will help increase battery life while also giving all of your accessories CLEANER power.
- You're a car audio enthusiast with added audio equipment. Most car audio amplifier brands rate their alternators' power by the 14.4-volt range. We all know if you can supply higher voltage, you'll get more power from that amplifier! This is also helpful for modern AGM batteries as well. Charging them to their optimal range is important for battery quality and lifespan. While minimal at this voltage boost stage, anytime you can increase your voltage, that means your amp DRAW goes down. Less amp draw, more power available.... it's a WIN/WIN!
