The G series 240 amp alternator for 88-95 GM truck is based on a late model large case GM frame that has been custom machined to bolt in place of the original small frame CS130 alternator. Reasonably priced and very durable, these units feature solid copper custom rectifiers for great durability. Oversize press fit diodes and premium bearings ensure long life even in hot or abusive conditions. This unit comes equipped with a smaller 1.75 inch diameter alternator pulley, and will require a slightly shorter drive belt for proper belt tension. (not reccomeded for use above 5,000 RPM engine speed) This kit includes the necessary bolt and alternator plug adapter harness for easy installation.
