Shipping Policy

  • Items over $99 ship for free to destinations inside the continental 48 united states. 
  • In an effort to reduce fraud, a direct signature is required for delivery on any orders over $99.  If an online order is received with a shipping address that does not match the billing address, a credit card verification letter will be mailed to the customer to verify credit card signature. The order will ship once we receive back the signed credit card form.   
  • It is the customer's responsibility to ship any units needing warranty service to the MechMan repair facility.  Please contact MechMan for an RGA number before shipping the unit.
  • PLEASE PACKAGE YOUR RETURN CAREFULLY!! 
  • Costs associated with repairing damage caused by return shipping will be required to be paid for by the customer.
  • MechMan will cover return shipping costs to ship alternators repaired under warranty to any customer inside the continental 48 unit states.
  • Customers outside of the continental 48 united states will be liable for return shipping costs for alternators repaired under warranty.

NOTE:  Any goods returned for warranty repair or paid service repair need to be returned to the customer within 30 days.  Any repaired units, under warranty or otherwise, that are not paid for and returned to the customer within 30 days will be discarded.

Automotive Alternators | 2 Year Repair Warranty

The MechMan limited two year warranty allows the customer to return their MechMan alternator for repair for a full two years after the alternator purchase date. This warranty does not cover other parts or equipment on the vehicle, and does not cover labor expenses related to the removal or installation of the alternator. The MechMan warranty is VOID if the alternator is modified, physically abused, misused, improperly installed, or is not used in the application for which it was designed. The MechMan two year warranty is non-transferrable. The customer must include a copy of the original invoice when sending in their alternator in order to receive warranty service. The customer is responsible for shipping the alternator to the Mechman facility for warranty service, Mechman will pay return shipping in the continental 48 United States only. Customers with shipping addresses outside of that area are responsible for the cost of return shipping.

Marine Alternators | 1 Year Repair Warranty

The MechMan limited one year warranty for marine certified alternators allows the customer to return their MechMan alternator for repair for a full one year after the alternator purchase date. This warranty does not cover other parts or equipment on the craft, and does not cover labor expenses related to the removal or installation of the alternator. The MechMan warranty is VOID if the alternator is modified, physically abused, misused, improperly installed, or is not used in the application for which it was designed. The MechMan one year warranty is non-transferrable. The customer must include a copy of the original invoice when sending in their alternator in order to receive warranty service. The customer is responsible for shipping the alternator to the Mechman facility for warranty service, Mechman will pay return shipping in the continental 48 United States only. Customers with shipping addresses outside of that area are responsible for the cost of return shipping.

Return Policy

MechMan alternators are built to order. New and unused standard issue Mechman alternators that are built in their default configuration may be returned in the original packaging within 30 days of the date of purchase on an exchange basis only. New and unused standard issue Mechman alternators that are built in their default configuration may also be returned but will be subject to a 10% restocking fee after full inspection. Any alternator that is custom ordered with custom regulator, finish, or pulley modifications are NON-RETURNABLE. Please call 1-865-522-6166 for an RGA number before returning any goods.

RGA Procedure

In the event that your Mechman alternator needs to be shipped in for service, you will need to obtain an RGA number to write on the outside of the box prior to returning it. To obtain this number, please email us at [email protected]. Please include a copy of the original purchase receipt along with the alternator so that original purchase date can be verified. Please also include a note with the complete year, make, model and engine size of the vehicle along with the return shipping address. Please be sure to tell our technical support staff the nature of the problem in detail so we can expedite your service.
