The Mechman Dual Bracket Kit – 2014‑2020 GM Trucks (V6/V8), paired with the Mechman 48‑Volt Idle Max Alternator (GM Vortec, Internally Regulated), offers a robust 48 V dual-charging solution for modern GM gas trucks. The bracket kit is precision-engineered and powder-coated in the USA to mount two alternators securely with optimized belt wrap, making it ideal for high-draw applications like winches, lighting, or auxiliary power systems. The Idle Max alternator, housed in a GM Vortec-style case, delivers up to 50 A at idle and peaks at 100 A, with a built-in internal regulator preset to 57 V for a clean, self-contained installation that only needs a 12 V signal to trigger. When combined, these parts create a powerful and dependable dual-alternator setup that supports high-capacity 48 V battery banks or heavy electrical loads — perfect for overland rigs, off-grid vehicles, or any build where reliable low-rpm charging is critical.

The Mechman B11480130-INT 48-Volt Idle Max alternator delivers high-output charging performance in a GM Vortec-style (Mechman 8206) case. Designed for customers seeking a simplified, self-contained solution, this model features an integrated internal regulator for straightforward installation.

• Fits: GM Vortec & Duramax trucks as well as aftermarket dual bracket kits designed for GM Vortec alternators.
• Direct-Fit Design: GM Vortec mount ensures compatibility with many OE and aftermarket brackets.
• High-Output Ready: Produces up to 50A (2,600 watts) at idle and up to 100A peak output for maximum efficiency.
• Simple Operation: Alternator turns on and off via a 12V ignition-switched source (must be 12V).
• Fixed Voltage: Internal regulator is preset to 57 volts. Voltage cannot be changed. Customer must confirm compatibility with their battery system.

Note: Alternator comes with an 8-groove, 50mm pulley. If using less than an 8-groove belt, align the belt to the inward grooves at the face of the alternator. Due to the power of this alternator at idle, some smaller engines may require our 6-groove underdrive pulley.

This alternator is ideal for 48-volt auxiliary power and off-grid applications requiring a self-contained charging solution.
